CISJ 110 : Computer Info Systems—Dual Credit CIS 110
Credits 0.5An introduction to hardware, software, data structures, information system analysis, and other topics regarding computer information systems. Content covers historical and contemporary topics with emphasis on database and spreadsheet packages for solving problems from a business perspective. Earn 3 college credits at MCC for CIS110. This is a required general education class for all in-state universities.
MED 0241/0242 : Medical Foundations A/B
Credits 1.0 (0.5 Credits Per Semester)Students will learn basic medical root words, prefixes, and suffixes, which will be highly important in their chosen medical professions. They will also study cytology, integumentary system, skeletal system, muscular system, digestive system, and special senses. During second semester, they will study the nervous system, cardiovascular system, respiratory system, lymphatic system, urinary system, endocrine system, and reproductive system.
MED 0340 : Occupations
Credits 0.5 (Per Semester)This semester long course is designed to teach students components of medical occupations. This includes exploration of career planning, job search skills, productivity and accountability, communication skills, leadership and collaboration, technological literacy, problem solving, legal and ethical issues, and wellness philosophies. Students will also do a variety of virtual job shadowing through a computer program that will be used in class.
MEDD100 : DC Medical Law and Ethics
Credits 0.5DC Medical Law and Ethics (MEA100) is a Dual Credit Course with MCC for a semester (0.5) high school credit and 3 credits for MCC. This DC course will be used in tandem with HES 113 as part of the CTE Medical Foundations course which is used on the Nursing Pathway.
MEDD113 : DC Medical Terminology
Credits 0.5DC Medical Terminology (HES113) is a Dual Credit Course with MCC for a semester (0.5) high school credit and 3 credits for MCC. This course will be used in tandem with HES 113 as part of the CTE Medical Foundations course which is used on the Nursing Pathway.
