MCC course description for EDU 200 Children's Literature:
A survey of children’s literature focused on grade PreK-8. This course includes the study of a variety of popular children’s authors, illustrators, and genres, and is designed to enhance students’ appreciation and analysis of literature with a focus on how to effectively choose and implement children’s literature in educational contexts. This course requires additional and outside reading of a variety of children’s literature titles.
