Cross Campus Courses
This KUSD High School Experience is for students interested in taking a class that is offered at another high school campus. Students may only apply for classes that are not available on their home campus. Students are responsible for their own transportation and must get both school and parent permissions. School administration and counselors will review the application, and determine acceptance based upon the following data:
- Available seats in the class
- Student Transcripts
- Student Discipline Record
- Recommendation from administration/counselor at home school
Cross Campus Course Application
Flex Academy
This KUSD High School Experience is for students interested in taking classes online in an on-campus Learning Lab or off-campus. All online courses are offered through the Edgenuity platform with academic guidance from a KUSD teacher. All Flex Academy students are assigned a mentor to answer questions, provide encouragement, and keep you on track. Requirements for Flex Academy are:
- Technology: Off-campus learners must supply their own device and internet access.
- Transportation: Buses only run before and after school. Midday transportation must be arranged by students and/or families.
- Attendance & Progress: Stay on track with all classes and attendance in order to remain eligible.
- Assessments: All assessments must be taken on campus.
High School Opportunity Pathway (HOP)
This KUSD High School Experience is for students interested in taking 1-3 classes at Mohave College as part of their high school schedule. Students applying for HOP courses must have declared a college or career pathway and meet the following criteria:
- Be on track for graduation with School Counselor approval
- Declare a college or career pathway
- Attendance record is at least 90% present during the school year prior to application year
- KUSD GPA is 2.5 or higher
- Course(s) requested are not offered within Kingman Unified School District
- Proof of completed MCC application
- Provide transportation to and from the course
Summit Academy
This KUSD High School Experience is for students interested in taking 4 classes at Mohave College in addition to 1 high school course to fulfill their high school graduation requirements. Students will follow the Mohave College academic calendar and course schedule which may include evening courses. Students applying for Summit Academy must meet the following criteria:
- Commit to one of these specific pathways: nursing, sciences, biology, education
- Approval from High School Counselor and on track to graduate from high school
- Completed Mohave College application & enrollment
- ACCUPLACER Reading: 240 or higher
- ACCUPLACER Writing: 240 or higher
- ACCUPLACER Math: 237 or higher in Advanced Algebra Functions
- Attendance from the previous semester: 90% or higher
- GPA: 2.5 or higher
- Provide transportation to and from Mohave College
